Former Hawthorn president Jeff Kennett and Caroline Wilson have engaged in a heated back-and-forth discussion over the circumstances surrounding the appointment of Sam Mitchell at the club.

It comes after Kennett joined the 3AW Football broadcast to talk about the “Kennett curse” which led to the former club president bringing up Wilson’s comments regarding Mitchell and how the situation played out with Alastair Clarkson.

“You’re such a bitter person aren’t you Caroline?” Kennett said.

Kennett said he would he would go on Footy Classified on Monday to dispute all of the points Wilson made about the coaching handover back in 2021.

“Bring it on Jeff, see you on Monday, can’t wait,” Wilson said.
