Paul Roos came out this week and said Carlton’s reserves team in the early 80s would beat North Melbourne’s current side, with Alastair Clarkson since responding to those comments.

Leigh Matthews said the “depth argument is valid” and went on to make a big statement about his 1985 Hawthorn team, which made the grand final that year.
