Carlton recruit Elijah Hollands has opened up on his turbulent start at the club, and how the club has embraced him since his drug mishap which saw him miss the first two games of the season.

Hollands has made a big impact since coming across from the Gold Coast Suns at the end of last season, and said he knew he had to put his head down to earn the respect of the playing group.

“I’ve always felt like I can play AFL footy,” he said.
