North Melbourne young gun George Wardlaw has lifted the lid on what coach Alastair Clarkson said to the playing group after their heartbreaking one-point loss to Collingwood.

Despite holding a shock 54-lead shortly after half time, the reigning premiers pulled off one of greatest comebacks in history.

Wardlaw said Clarkson’s words after the game put the shattering defeat into perspective.
