Matthew Richardson believes it would be “outrageous” if the AFL opts to make draft changes which come into effect this year.

AFL football boss Laura Kane dropped the bombshell on Saturday that father-son draft rules could change this year, despite clubs planning years in advance to accumulate enough points to select players.

“I can’t believe the AFL would even be considering changing how father-son and academy picks work at the end of this year,” Richo said on Wide World of Sports.

“We know these kids are coming through (years in advance) and clubs have been stockpiling…it would be outrageous if they (made a change).”
