Former top cop labels Victoria’s move to raise the age of criminal responsibility as ‘nonsensical’
Victoria is set to become the first state to raise the criminal age of responsibility to 12-years-old.
Premier Jacinta Allan and Attorney General Jaclyn Symes said the bill would ensure children aged 10 and 11 would not end up in the criminal justice system.
And former Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police, Kel Glare, thinks the move is “nonsensical”.
