Why it’s ‘highly unlikely’ Donald Trump will go to jail despite landmark guilty verdict
Donald Trump has sensationally been been found guilty of all 34 charges in a high-profile hush money trial, which wrapped up in a New York court on Friday morning (AEST).
The former US president had been accused of 34 counts of fraud, becoming the first ex-president to be convicted of a crime.
But Nine News US correspondent Alison Piotrowski says it’s unlikely Mr Trump will go to jail.

“It’s the lowest felony on the list,” she told Ross and Russ on 3AW Breakfast.
“We’re also talking about a former president where the secret service needs to follow him everywhere and that needs to be factored into any sentence.”
