The AFL has released a statement on Alastair Clarkson in relation to his alleged inappropriate language used towards the umpires’ bench during North Melbourne’s match against Port Adelaide.

The league found Clarkson didn’t breach any of the AFL rules, as the league wasn’t “comfortably satisfied” that his language was directed to anyone, and in particular an AFL match official.

“Goodness me,” McClure said.
