‘Recidivist’: What the AFL should do with Alastair Clarkson following fresh incident
3AW sports reporter Jon Anderson has called on the AFL to “make a stand” and suspend North Melbourne coach Alastair Clarkson if he’s found guilty of verbally abusing umpires.
Clarkson is again under investigation following an alleged incident during Saturday’s night against Port Adelaide, just weeks after he was slapped with a two-game suspended ban for a homophobic slur directed at St Kilda’s Jimmy Webster.

“He’s a recidivist in these areas,” Anderson said on 3AW Breakfast.
“If he’s found guilty, the two match ban should be imposed. (His behaviour) has gone on far too long and both the AFL and (North Melbourne) should make a stand on it.”
