Leigh Matthews has weighed in on the debate which arose on 3AW’s Wide World of Sports on Monday night on which side is better: Essendon in 2000 or Sydney in 2024?

The Bombers only lost one game in 2000 en route to the premiership and the Swans have only dropped one game so far in 2024.

Bombers great Matthew Lloyd, who was apart of the 2000 side, said his side was “far superior” to the current Swans outfit.
