Caroline Wilson and Leigh Matthews have weighed in on the controversial finish over in Perth on Friday night, with Matthew Nicholls’ free kick for time wasting against Collingwood the key talking point out of the match.

The AFL ticked off on the decision this morning, with Leigh Matthews admitting he “didn’t know the rule existed”.

“I gather there’s been some frustration, and there was some frustration last night late in the game from the umpires that there were a couple of things going on that might have been construed to be time wasting by Collingwood,” Wilson said.
