Two burning cars have been rammed into a house on McCracken Street in Essendon at 2am overnight.

A car has also been set on fire and driven into a convenience store in Meadow Heights, with police stating both incidents are targeted attacks.

Two people were inside the McCracken Street house but both escaped without injury.

And a crime scene has been set up at the convenience shop on Malmsbury Drive.
