Reforms are coming to family law to make parenting orders more simple, with a move to focus on what is best for the children.

Accredited family law specialist, Caroline Counsel, says the reforms are a wind back of the John Howard reforms from 2006.

“We’re going back to everything old is new again, we’re getting rid of the presumption that there is equal shared parental responsibility, which was always capable of being challenged,” she told Ross and Russel.
