Richmond defender Jayden Short doesn’t see a problem with Daniel Rioli reportedly meeting with former coach Damien Hardwick.

Rioli was doorstopped at Gold Coast airport during the club’s bye, with one report suggesting he met up with Hardwick while on holiday.

“I saw the press get him at the airport – that was a bit awkward,” Short told 3AW Football.

“It hasn’t been brought up and it is what is…it isn’t an issue at the moment. I think Daniel Rioli still has a contract until 2027.”
