What deputy Victorian premier wants to see happen following tragic events in recent weeks
Deputy Victorian premier Ben Carroll says recent events show more needs to be done to call out sexist and misogynistic behaviour in the community.
The Bondi Junction killer stabbed six people to death – five of them women – while both Samantha Murphy and Hannah McGuire in Ballarat were both allegedly killed by men in recent weeks.
“(The events of recent months show) we have so much more to do – particularly with young boys and men,” Mr Carroll told 3AW Drive.

“We do need to get to those outdated attitudes. We need to call out sexist and misogynistic behaviour.
“There is no place for any of this in our society, we need to shine a light a lot more on the perpetrators.”
