Expert reveals how asbestos could have ended up at Melbourne parks
A second Melbourne park has been found to contain asbestos, after a park in Spotswood was found to contain the material earlier this week.
Chair of the Asbestos and Dust Diseases Research Institute, Peter Tighe, says if the material has been found in mulch, it means it’s been delivered to the site.
“It’s quite often the case through the process of creating the mulch,” he told Shane McInnes, filling in for Tony Moclair.
