Tony Jones has been left shocked after a stolen car got away from police despite efforts to contain the vehicle.

3AW police reporter, Madelaine Burke, says two men rammed two police vehicles and clipped a third, early this morning.

“They positioned one police car in the front of the vehicle, one behind it, stop sticks underneath, ready to make an arrest, but these guys have woken with a jolt,” she said.

He says he “loathes” criticising the police, but called the events “crazy.”

“I’m sorry, but to me, that’s unacceptable, how does that even happen?” he said.

Victoria Police are still looking for the men, who allegedly dumped the vehicle nearby.
