Melbourne’s train timetable on weekends is “absolutely hopeless” and hasn’t kept up to speed with modern times, according to Shane McInnes.

Train frequency on certain lines – especially in the growth corridor in the west – can range between 30-40 minutes on weekends.

Shane said that simply isn’t good enough for a city the size of Melbourne.

“A train every 30 to 40 minutes on a Saturday or Sunday into the city is absolutely hopeless,

“It’s totally unacceptable.”
