Tony Jones asks key Melbourne business figure about potential lord mayor tilt
The race to replace Sally Capp as Melbourne lord mayor has begun, as she prepares to step away from the position later this year.
While Neil Mitchell believes former deputy lord mayor Arron Wood will be in the running, Tony Jones has directly asked Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry CEO Paul Guerra whether he’s considering also throwing his hat in the ring.
“There’s some good people putting their hands up and that’s what we want,” he told 3AW Mornings.
