Environment minister Steve Dimopoulos has revealed on 3AW that over 300 million containers have been recycled since the state’s recycling scheme was launched in November.

Victorians receive 10c back for every can or bottle recycled at outlets across the state.

“146 cans are recycled on an average visit (to a recycling outlet),” he told 3AW Drive.

“That’s extraordinary.”
