Sydney CEO ‘fully supports’ review into AFL illicit drugs policy
Sydney CEO Tom Harley has backed the AFL’s review into its illicit drugs policy, saying the current model is set up not to punish players.
It emerged in federal parliament this week the club doctors were allegedly protecting players who had taken illicit drugs, withdrawing them from matches so they weren’t tested by officials on game day.
Harley fully supported the AFL review the policy’s current parameters, while ensuring the health and safety of players was at the forefront of any decisions they make.
