A world first online legal service is contesting fines and penalty notices on your behalf.

Fine Defender is promising to end unfair revenue raising by challenging council parking fines, public transport fines, as well as traffic fines.

Lawyer and founder Adam Cockayne says the process involves a series of questions.

“If our system identifies you have a defense, it will generate your appeal documents and send them into the police,” Mr. Cockayne told 3AW Breakfast.

Still in its trial stages, the site is currently sitting at an 80% success rate.

Mr. Cockayne says the review process for fines is “completely defective.”

“People don’t know their rights and the defenses they can raise.”
