Jack Silvagni has provided an insight into potentially game-changing ball chip technology which is set to undergo further testing this week.

VFL and VFLW matches will use footballs with chips build inside, which could lead to a more improved score review system.

Silvagni told 3AW Football he has noticed big improvements in the technology over the last 12 months.

“We used the chip in the ball at training last year and they were noticeably heavier,” he said on 3AW.

“This year, they were pretty well normal.”
