A garbage truck driver has been accused of deliberately damaging a basketball ring placed on a nature strip.

Renee says the local council is threatening to fine her as a result of where the ring has being installed.

“The (driver) has done it three times and it just seems deliberate,” she told Jacqui Felgate.

“They’ve threatened (a $2,000 fine for the ring) and I’ve thought I’ll leave it there as every kid on the street plays with it.”
