Neil Mitchell says Daniel Andrews wants Donald Trump to come to Victoria to play golf.

“I’m not sure a formal invitation has been issued yet, but I reckon the feelers have been put out,” the 3AW Mornings host explained on Thursday.

The president’s cup is due to be held in Melbourne in 2019.

“I’m sure if he wins next year’s election, Daniel Andrews would love to play Royal Melbourne with Donald Trump and I’m sure would beat him,” Neil Mitchell said.

“Although, as they say, it’s a funny game, golf.”
