Despite a cancer diagnosis, King Charles could still come to Australia later this year renewing calls from republicans for a republic.

National director and chief executive officer of the Australian Republic Movement, Isaac Jeffry, says they welcome the news of a potential visit from the Monarch.

“We think it’s a great opportunity for Australians to have a look at the royals and say ‘Does the British Monarchy still actually serve the people of Australia’,” he told Tom Elliott.
