Order of Australia recipient ‘overwhelmed’ by Australia Day honour
An Order of Australia recipient who has helped identify soldiers killed during two majors world wars says she’s “overwhelmed” by the honour.
Maria Stella Cameron received the Australia Day honour for ‘service to veterans and the community’, having worked extensively on World War I and II history.
She explained why collating the history of major wars is so important to her.
