Landing at Melbourne Airport and trying to find a taxi has become like the “wild, wild west”, according to transport advocate Rod Barton.

3AW Afternoons host Tony Molcair had a “less than edifying” experience after recently returning from a Sydney holiday, which lead him to question what’s being done to solve the growing issue.

“It is a problem that has been getting worse and worse since the government allowed Uber to come into the market,” Mr Barton told 3AW.
