Acting Greens leader Aiv Puglielli says he’ll continue to press Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan to introduce pill testing at major music festivals.

Nine people were sent to hospital with suspected drug overdoses following a dance festival at Flemington on Saturday, sparking further discussion on how to fix the growing issue.

“It looks like a bit of a holding line that we’ve seen from the state Labor government,” Mr Puglielli told Heidi Murphy on 3AW Drive.

“I’ve yet to hear new premier (Jacinta Allan) comment on this issue…if people were provided with a heath-based, one-on-one conversation with a medical professional then we could potentially see a lot less harm than what we saw (this weekend).”
