Seymour residents urged to evacuate immediately as major flooding expected to surpass 1993 flood level
An emergency warning has been issued for Seymour residents to evacuate immediately as floodwaters rapidly rise with major flooding expected to surpass the 1993 flood level.
Flooding is expected to impact the following streets: Emily Street, Tierney Street, Lesley Street, Tallarook Street, Wallis Street, High Street, Elizabeth Street, Butler Street, Alexander Street, Edward Street, Station Street, Tristan Street, Hanna Street, Jubilee Street, Industrial Court.
Residents can travel to a relief centre located at Seymour Sports & Aquatic Centre at Chittick Park with the safest route to the centre via Anzac Avenue.

The emergency warning is in place until 6pm and it is advised residents leave before then as it could be too late to leave.
Residents are also being urged to stay informed by listening to emergency broadcasters and to monitor warnings.
