A disqualified driver has claimed the life of a 12-year-old girl in Stonehaven near Geelong yesterday, with another seven-year-old in critical condition.
The driver of the car is in hospital under police guard, with Senior Sergeant Peter Romanis stating it was an “entirely preventable tragedy”.
The fatal collision adds to Victoria’s horror road toll over the past year, with 297 people killed.
