Nine Radio Federal Political Reporter Michael Pachi is surprised Penny Wong has been named one of Australia’s most popular politicians.

A poll conducted by The Age late last year reveals the likes of Foreign Minister Wong, Jacqui Lambie and the Coalition’s Jacinta Price as the country’s three most popular politicians.

“I was a bit surprised that people like Penny Wong are considered (one of the) most popular politicians in the country,” Mr Pachi told Shane McInnes on 3AW Afternoons.

“As foreign minister, she’s not really dealing with the nitty-gritty of day-to-day issues, which sometimes can be unpopular.
