A Melbourne skyscraper has recently been named one of the world’s more spectacular – but it’s not the one you might think.

Architectural Digest has released its 31 most beautiful skyscrapers in the world, with Russell Street’s Abode 318 skyscraper the only Australian building on the list.

The list prompted Shane McInnes to name his top three most spectacular buildings globally.

“I can sit at Circular Quay or the Opera Bar and watch the day go by in the background staring at the Sydney Harbour Bridge,” Shane said on 3AW Afternoons about the famous Australian landmark, which he named in his top three.

“To me, despite being a proud Melburnian, it’s Australia’s most iconic structure.”
