A woman has been taken a hospital after being involved in a three-car crash on the South Melbourne Market car park roof.

Caller Helen alerted 3AW Drive to the incident on Friday afternoon, with one woman in a stable condition after going to hospital with upper body pain.

The crash left one car hanging over the ledge of the car park at the popular market.
