The state government has released a road map on how Victorians will transition from gas to electric which is set to impact two million properties.

Energy specialist and manager of policy and research at St Vincent’s De Paul, Gavin Duffy, says the move to electricity will help Victoria reach their target of net-zero by 2050.

“They released a regulatory impact statement yesterday and that’s sort of like ‘Okay, what else do we need to get rid of the existing gas appliances and the gas stock, and that’s of three parts,'” he told Tony Jones.
