The state’s Premier and opposition leaders have both admitted to previously smoking cannabis amid a recent push to legalise the drug.

Senior research fellow at RMIT, Dr Monica Barratt, says a bill proposed by the Legalise Cannabis Party is sensible.

“This is something most Australians actually agree, that cannabis use, small amounts of cannabis use shouldn’t be criminalised,” she told Tom Elliott.
