Telstra won’t be forced to share mobile network with competitors
Telstra will not be forced to share its mobile network with competitors following a ruling by the competition watchdog.
The ACCC has ruled out a move to allow other companies to piggy-back off the telco’s regional mobile network.
Chairman Rod Sims told Tom Elliott it was a win for customers in regional areas.
?People in rural and regional areas were concerned about competition and essentially not having much choice but to use Telstra, however, their dominant concern was the extent and depth of coverage and we judged that not allowing roaming was the better way to meet their needs,? he explained on 3AW Drive.
