Tom Elliott has responded to Tuesday’s combative interview between Neil Mitchell and Greens MP Gabrielle de Vietri.

The Greens are backing a push for school-aged children to be give time off school to attend pro-Palestinian and climate change protests.

Tom believes the proposal is “utterly ludicrous”, saying teenagers aren’t best equipped to make informed decisions on various social issues.

“Teenagers are obsessed with social media and sport,” Tom said on 3AW Drive.

“The idea that we should give them a vote and they should be given a day off school to protest is utterly ludicrous.”
