Questions raised over the effectiveness of email marketing
Kmart has been made to pay a $1.3 million fine for sending over 200,000 emails to people who had already unsubscribed prompting questions if email marketing is effective.
ECommerce expert and consultant, Tushar Kapadia, says people should report the brand if they continue to receive emails after unsubscribing.
“As far as any consumer brand is concerned, they can’t send you unsolicited emails, and they should have an option quite clearly on their emails to say unsubscribe, and they should work,” he told Tom Elliott.
