Prime Minister threatened with legal action over Gaza
A Sydney legal firm acting on behalf of Palestinian Australians is threatening legal action against Anthony Albanese and the federal government.
Birchgrove Legal has sent a letter of demand to the Prime Minister, saying his government appears to have “contravened domestic and international law” by supporting Israel.
Solicitor at Birchgrove Legal, Rita Jabri Markwell, says while Australia is entitled to stand with an ally, a line has been crossed by “standing with an ally that is acting outside of the bounds of the rule of law”.
