Cartoonist Mark Knight has responded to Premier Jacinta Allan’s comments on his Herald Sun cartoon depicting her without any clothing on, which she took exception to.

The cartoon is a play on the folktale ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ and includes a caption which reads “From the Commonwealth Games cancellation collection… the Premier’s new clothes…”

Knight said he would’ve drawn former Premier Daniel Andrews in the same situation if he was still in power, as he likes to practice “equal opportunity” in the “mockery” stakes.
