A CFA volunteer of over 40 years has proposed Parks Victoria should provide volunteer firefighters free access to national parks.

Jamie Chandler says people don’t realise how much support volunteers provide beyond battling fires.

“No one thinks about how much money they’ve outlaid out of their pocket to go and fight these fires,” he told Neil Mitchell.
