A union leader involved in an open letter petitioning the Israel-Hamas war has revealed why the letter places responsibility on the Israeli government.

Branch president of the National Tertiary Education Union, Nick Reimer, says the petition, supported by various unions is calling for a cease-fire and end to the conflict.

“Three and a half thousand are dead on the Palestinian side, 1300 people thought to still be lying under rubble, including hundreds and hundreds of children,” he told Neil Mitchell.
