Expert says unisex school bathrooms are the ‘future’
An expert says that the Clifton Springs Primary School unisex bathroom is part of a likely future, helping to improve behaviour and recognise gender diverse children.
Former principal and founder and CEO of Real Schools, Adam Voigt, says he is in “full support” of the school’s decision, and believes bullying can be reduced as unisex bathrooms are easier to supervise.
“If this has landed as a big surprise to the parent community, and if it does at any school, then the school has missed an opportunity to bring the parents along with the ride and put a lot of the fears aside,” he said.
