Three products have become the first to be certified under the Australian Farm Data Code.
The Code aims to inform farmers of the data management polices of products and service providers.
Rural reporter Ella Smith spoke to National Farmers Federation Vice-President David Jochinke about the purpose of the Code and how it helps farmers.
