The Crown casino precinct would gain a new two-storey shopping mall, new European-style alfresco restaurants and well as better connections to the Yarra River under a plan to modernise the area.

The revitalisation plans are inspired by the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and Disneyland.

Urban planning expert and Managing Director of Clement Stone Town Planner, Bill Kusznirczuk, says opening the area to the river is “a good idea”.
