Police commander issues update on tobacco shop fire
Police say there is no current link between the shooting of Craigieburn man Robert Issa and this morning’s Glenroy tobacco shop fire.
Crime Command Commander Paul O’Halloran says the incidents are isolated but are likely related to wider organised crime syndicates in Melbourne.
“We’ve been looking at this heightened tension within the Middle Eastern organised crime environment for well over six months now,” he told Neil Mitchell.
