There’s been multiple tragic incidents on the roads over the long weekend in Cowes and Langwarrin South.

An 18-year-old man was charged last night after a fatal collision just after 11:30pm in Cowes.

It’s alleged the vehicle lost control before crashing into a tree at the intersection of Millennium Way and Justice Road, with a 19-year-old passenger dying at the scene.

Meanwhile police are investigating a fatal collision in Langwarrin South yesterday after a vehicle travelling on Gardeners Road clipped a caravan travelling in the same direction just before 2.30pm.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined.
