‘It’s time’: Daniel Andrews steps down as Premier
Daniel Andrews has announced he’s stepping down as Victoria’s Premier after nine years in the role.
His resignation will take effect at 5pm tomorrow.

“Recently in talking to my kids and Cath, thoughts of what life will be like after this job has started to creep in. I have always known that the moment that happens it is time to go and to give this privilege, this amazing responsibility to someone else,” he said.
Andrews’ successor will be determined at a caucus meeting at midday tomorrow.
