Radical anti smoking measures experts say may work in Australia

The UK is considering introducing anti-smoking measures that could ban anyone born after 2009 from ever buying cigarettes.

CEO of Cancer Council, Todd Harper, says the idea could be effective but should be coupled with efforts to stop adult smoking.

“If they see their parents quitting smoking, then kids are much less likely to take up smoking as well, so that way, I think you almost get it two for one,” he told Neil Mitchell.
